Readme-file for optimUMTS download
System requirements:

Intel Pentium Processor
Free Memory of approx. 20 MBytes or more
Free Disk Space of approx. 40 MBytes or more
Graphical Environment (resolution 800x600 with 16 colors or more)

The packed archive expands (5 MBytes) to something similar as: 

optimUMTS/bs.dtx            {base stations}
          copyright.txt     {license file}
          manual.pdf        {manual, PDF-format}
          manual/index.html {manual, HTML-format}
          mu.drx            {mobile users}
          mu_dis.drd        {mobile user distribution}
          optimUMTS         {executable}
          terrain.map       {terrain (16m sampling)}
          terrain.urb       {building clutter (16m sampling)}

Installation:

  • Unpack the archive.
  • Change to directory optimUMTS.
  • Start the program optimUMTS.
  • E-mail us if you like to give some feedback.

Notes:

  • You might want to insert the path to the optimUMTS executable into your system path to be searched for runnables.
  • Installation of optimUMTS does not modify any of your files.

Un-Installation:

Remove directory optimUMTS.
(If you have stored simulation results in another directory, please, remove the generated files as well in order to clean-up everything.)
